About Curaçao

Daaibooi Bay

On your way to Daaibooi, you will pass the interesting Landhouse Jan Kok and the flamingos in their natural habitat - the salt flats of 'Willibrord'. The beach itself is a sandy public beach with fantastic clear blue water. Early morning the local fishermen will bring in their catch. Get you first pick! Basic facilities are available like a snack bar and beach beds.

Porto Mari Bay

The beautiful Porto Mari Beach has all the facilities that you could be looking for in a beach. It is an excellent location for a nice shore dive along the underwater snorkel track toward the double reef. There is a large covered restaurant offering harty dishes and tasty cocktails. Spoil yourself with a beach massage!

Cas Abou Beach
Cas Abou (also spelled Cas Abao) is the perfect bounty beach with soft wide sand and brilliant turquiose water. The facilities include a restaurant bar with simple fare, a water sport center with its own water trampoline and beach massages. One of the most beautiful beaches on the island, you can easily spend a whole day here.

Boka Santu Pretu
Boka Santu Pretu is not easy to reach by car; after you've obtained a key to the terrain you need a four wheel drive to master the bumpy dirt road to reach it. It is far easier to take one of the boat rides out to this unique treasure with its untouched coral reef. Santu Pretu is one of the two black sand beaches that give away Curacao's vulcanic origin. There are no facilities so bring everything with you.

Sta. Cruz Beach
Towards the Western tip of the island is the Sta. Cruz Bay. This beach looks very different from the rest, because of its palm trees and wide view to the ocean. Crazy Captain Goodlife cooks the catch of the day in his pirate den and shuttles guests to Santu Pretu and the Blue Room by boat.

Lagun Beach
Lagun Beach is the centerpoint for the small village Lagun. Many of the inhabitants are fishermen and late afternoon you are welcome to help them bring in their catch. The facilities at the beach are basic, but there is plenty of shade and the snorkeling along the rocky edge of the bay is out of this world!

Jeremi Beach
The second beach in Lagun village is Jeremi Beach. This black sand beach is excellent for snorkeling and as a swim stop when exploring all the little bays of Curacao. There is not much shade and no facilities, so for a full day at the beach it may be a bit too much for the starting suntanner.

Small Kenepa Beach
Kenepa, or otherwise known as Knip, is a must see area on the island. The two beaches, Small and Large Kenepa, are part of a former plantation, of which the plantation house is now an interesting museum. Small Kenepa is small and cute, with lots of shade and excellent snorkeling.

Large Kenepa Beach

The second beach in the Knip area is the Large Kenepa beach. This beach is a favorite of many people; a wide soft sandy beach, with the bluest water you'll ever see! Unspoiled and authentic. Also popular with the locals, this beach smells like a delicious mix grilled BBQ on the weekends!

Playa Forti
Playa Forti is famous for its look-out point in Westpunt. The little boats bopping up and down with the surf, an occacional turtle popping his head above the water and the tranquility of a sleepy village make this area a real special get-away. From the cliff on top, many daredevils jump the 18 feet down!

Playa Kalki
Playa Kalki is the house-beach of the Kura Hulanda Lodge in Westpunt. Boasting a spectacular natural reef located off of its beach, Lodge Kura Hulanda and Beach Club is a prime diving destination resort offering an on-site dive shop that provides snorkeling, scuba diving, courses and daily excursions to Curacao’s top dive sites. Scuba Gear, Snorkeling Equipment, Paddleboats, Sunfish Boats and Kayaks are also available for rental.
