The culture of a people is defined by the people, the art they make, the language they speak and their common traits and values.
THE culture of Curacao does not exist, however the many subcultures on the island are very apparent, and everyone celebrates the artistic expressions together. The popular music has an African beat with Latin influences, Carnival and Seu (harvest fest) are celebrated with tremendous expression and the art has a distinct Caribbean feel.
Likewise the language is one melting pot of different languages that started as a lingua franca and has developed into a real creool language with its own literature, poetry and music lyrics.
