| July 2nd | Curacao Flag Day | Today we celebrate our identity as an island, specifically by honoring our flag and hymn. There will be official celebrations on the Brion Square in Otrabanda and everybody gets a day off. |
| September 3rd & 4th | North Sea Jazz Festival |
For the first time ever there will be a North Sea Jazz Festival being held in Curacao this year. Many international Jazz names will appear, a complete list will be published here at a later point. |
| October 10th | Birth of Curacao | Today the Netherlands Antilles will split up and Curacao will become an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. |
| December 31st | New Year's Eve | From noon until morning there will be firework parties everywhere. During the day most companies light a 'pagara' to blow out any negative influences of the old year and in the evening the sky lights up with the most amazing colors! |
